History of CAD-AID FOUNDATION
In 2017, Carine Laure Mambou Metiefeng, the founding president, decided to break the omerta and publish an autobiographical book entitled. "Ma version des faits"(story of a life). The book tells the story of a little girl who was raped at the age of 10 by certain members of her family, but who managed to escape the trauma and build a normal life for herself.
Spurred on by this true story, which recounts Carine's childhood, journey and trauma, the author, who today defines herself as a rape survivor, set herself the mission and ambition of combating child rape, sexual abuse and harassment and all other forms of violence against children and women with all her might. Despite a number of difficulties in her determination to eradicate this global scourge, she finally set up the first foundations of the non-governmental organization CAD AID Foundation in her native Cameroon, in the towns of Douala, Yaoundé and Bafoussam. Subsequently in South Africa in the city of Johannesburg, in the Republic of Ireland in the cities of Dublin and Ennis, in Senegal in the city of Dakar, in Burkina Faso in the city of Ouagadougou and in Côte d'Ivoire in the city of Abidjan, CAD AID wishes to extend its field of action throughout the African and European continents.
Carine Mambou works daily in collaboration with a magnificent team of dynamic young people dedicated to this noble cause in the above-mentioned countries, with a view to raising awareness, galvanizing, protecting and bringing hope and smiles to the world's children.
