Girls' Day at the Pan-African Parliament - October 2017
On October 13, 2017, the women's caucus of the Pan-African Parliament organized the Day of the Young Girl. The aim of the day was to raise awareness of the harms of genital mutilation and find ways to combat child rape.
This UNESCO-supported event took place in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The President of CAD-Aid, Carine Mambou, took part and had the opportunity to discuss the subject with the UNESCO representative.
